What is a Pip in Forex Trading?

A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest price move that a currency pair can make. For most forex pairs, a pip is equal to 0.0001 (the 4th decimal place). For JPY pairs, a pip is 0.01 (the 2nd decimal place).
